Concerning Worship and Youth Group

So last night was youth group which was really interesting since we talked about worship a lot, and other areas where I guess our youth group could benefit as well. Even though I didnt speak up one bit, I was completely bursting with stuff to say!

1. I think our youth group could use some changes (shorter lessons, and more interaction definetely!), but i also think the youth could use a change of mindset? I dont know if thats the right word... but thats what I think.

2. Small groups= Good Idea.

3. People talking to one another is not a form of worship. Thats focus on you, not on God.

However, I do think it should be a joyful thing. I dont think its a natural consequence, its just something that worship is. You should be joyful to praise your Lord Jesus, right?

4. I think talking is ok (who doesnt want to say a few words during the service?), but please leave the sanctuary when you are having a real conversation. THIS INCLUDES adults too. (Sorry, but Katie is right about the judgement.)

5. Melody and Joy made very good points about taking the oppurtunity that you have and using it to glorify God whenver you can. I totally agree with that!
6. I just want to say: when I worship, I feel like dancing sometimes. hehe!

7. I do feel that the lessons are very long, but Noah's idea about the students leading sometimes is a great idea! what better way to learn more than teaching it yourself?

8. I do think our youth talks during worship(at church), but I dont think that it happens all the time. For our youth group worship, yea... we didnt take it seriously. We should have though.

9. Linda, I love what you have done with our youth group, and we learn a lot from you. I dont think its fair to you that you are the one who had to tell us this, when I think the parents should be the ones that do it. It isnt your responsibility at all, it is the parents I think! It puts a lot of pressure on you that shouldnt even be yours.

10. Why dont we do a section on purity? Lets talk about sex! haha just kidding. But i think it might be a good idea.

Well this is what I think. I definetely have more deeper thoughts about it, but I dont think i should say a lot of it. It just feels good to get my ideas out there, even though a lot of them may be wrong.
