I just realized that I have a love for old things. Like antiques, and books, old houses and even stories about elderly people! I love these things. Gardens, cooking and those types of things too. Maybe its becuase they remind me of my grandparents, and I really miss them. I have some of the most amazing memories with my grandparents, I think they are one of the best things God has blessed me with. I have decided that I am going to Mexico again with them next year, since its Ginas turn to go. It will be so much fun!
Oh and Easter! That will be fun. I love holidays too! I love it when the family gets together, although it doesnt happen very often. When everybody comes, my cousins and everybody, it is so awesome! I wish it happened more often. And the food is great! Rolls, and stuff like that. Its like the potlucks at my Grandmas church are the best potlucks I have ever been too. Somebody makes the best brownies. I have no clue who they are but they are amazing. (haha, green bean casserole Alyssa!)
And even though Jaclyn hates it, I love it when their friends say how grown up we are, and how much we look alike. Becuase I love their compliments. They always are very sincere.
OH, and the conversations! I love hearing about their past! They alwyas talk about how "back in the day" and stuff, but I really like to hear about that. It makes me wish I lived back then, instead of now. That would be so cool. And the other things they talk about, like their gardens, new recipies that they have tried, and about their friends and things.
And how my Grandams house looks with the cherry blossoms on that tree, and the strawberries that Grandpa alwyas gives us. And the creek, and all the bridges. And finding Grandpas golf balls. Hiding in the hedge. Walks down the road. Visiting their friends.
I really miss my grandparents.
I think when I am really bored, I get nostalgic. Oh well, at least its a more cheerful post than my last one :]
